About Tavanyab

The Organization for the Protection of Handicapped Children and youth is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, which was established in 1999. The organization aims at offering timely rehabilitation services to the children and young adults under 16 years. The therapy-center is located in the center of Tehran, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Asia.

The mission of this organization is to correct the outlook of the society toward the handicapped, to inform the society of the capabilities of this group and to reduce the limitations and restrictions of these people experience. It offers specialized services in the fields of occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy and counseling in order to achieve the three fundamental goals:

1) creation of equal opportunities for handicapped as citizens, 2) rehabilitation 3) enabling the disabled people to overcome their personal problems and remove their personal needs. The services are 100% free of charge.

The noteworthy point is that the organization has not restricted its services to any specific gender, nationality, religion, race, social or economic class and offers its humanitarian aids to the needy group regardless of any such concerns.
